INCOME

Income is a measure of the amount of money earned by members of the workforce in a given household. A household’s income determines the economic capacity of that household, which establishes how much the household can afford to spend on necessities, housing, transportation, and commercial goods. As such, measures of income provide an important picture of the overall health of a region’s economy and the households within it.
